NEOTEL launching NeoFlex boardband next week

Technology

As all South African know, broadband is not so broad in South Africa when it comes to choice, speed and price. Neotel launched as the new telecommunications provider and competitor to Telkom last year and promised great new things for our broadband market.

Unfortunately they have not delivered as yet in my opinion. This may however all be set to change in the near future with Neotel set to launch their broadband service called NeoFlex to residential customers next week.

Although no pricing structures or further details have been released, this might be the beginning of big things or South African broadband users, especially with the new Seacom Cable also set to launch early this year increasing South Africa’s internet capabilities by probably more than a 100%.

In theory NeoFlex will offer download speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps and upload speeds in excess of 1 Mbps.

Although I am not getting ready to switch over yet, I do think this is a product to watch.
Watch this space for more info soon…
