Today Huawei launched its first Africa specific smartphone called the Huawei Windows Phone 4Afrika, the phone runs on the Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system and is predominantly aimed at the African market as the name suggests. The Chinese IT company said the device is aimed at boosting mobile accessibility and adoption within the fast-growing African continent, and will be available in Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Angola, Morocco and South Africa towards the later part of the Q1 2013.

  • 10.15mm thick
  • 4-inch WVGA (480×800) IPS LCD touchscreen with “zero-gap touch” technology
  • 1,730 mAh Li-Polymer battery
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 dual-core 1.2 GHz processor
  • Adreno 305 GPU.
  • 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and VGA shooter on the front.
