As most of you already know, a favicon is the little real estate spot next to your web address inside your browser window and the little image that displays on the side when you bookmark a website. Although their are many tools like this one from Dynamic Drive available online to create these nifty little pieces of branding there are very little sites that utilize them apart from the bigger sites of course.
Favicons are ideally utilized to carry through the website branding by way of a mascot, initials or the company logo. I have compiled a list of the best 50 Favicons I could find, some are wacky, some are serious, but they all relay certain message.
Enjoy these and let me know if you’ve come across some good ones lately.
