I’ve seen a couple of these type of campaigns going around the net such as the ones where the mail and female partners are either a spider or a scorpion. This ad for the One Life HIV Aids awareness campaign seems even a bit more disturbing and real. With the tag line “Each time you sleep with someone, you also sleep with his past. Get tested for HIV” it does hit home. Great advertising by One Life and Bleublancrouge, Montréal, Canada

This is yet another ineffective scare tactic campaign… not innovative… these sort of ads just get people scared of testing and not of the actual HIV virus. SafER sex is much more effective.

The images are disturbing because they are so inaccurate. Firstly, AIDS is not a “murderer.” It’s a syndrome, a virus that has no conscience or human persona. Secondly, the posters — if one will note — depict only heterosexual couplings. HIV/AIDS remains a foremost problem amongst same-sex couples. So why no posters of Stalin porking an anonymous male figure? Hitler making Goebbels squeal like a pig? Not to mention all those portrayed in the posters are white.

HIV/AIDS is still rampant today and there is no cure for it. we need to practive safe sex all the time because an ounce of prevention is still better than a pound of cure.

HIV is a disease that is still incurable today. We should always practice safe sex and also educate our people how to avoid the spread of this disease.
